Maleic anhydride, Rhombic crystal system is colorless acicular or lamellar crystal. It has strong pungent smell, soluble in ethanol, ether and acetone, insoluble in petroleum ether and carbon tetrachloride. It reacts with hot water to form maleic acid.
Application:
It is mainly used to produce unsaturated polyester resin, alkyd resin, malathion, 4049 and long-term iodine amine.
It is also a comonomer of paint, maleic rosin, polymaleic anhydride, maleic anhydride - styrene copolymer
It is also an organic chemical raw material for the production of ink auxiliaries, papermaking auxiliaries, plasticizers, tartaric acid, fumaric acid, tetrahydrofuran, etc.
